Nuance gains ten-year extension at Perth
Perth airport operator, Westralia Airports Corporation (WAC),
today announced that The Nuance Group has been re-appointed as the
duty-free concessionaire for the next ten years. Nuance will
continue to operate its Downtown Duty Free brand, which has been
operating at Perth since 1991. The tender was contested by DFS
Group.
The international terminal building will also be subject to major
redevelopment in the near future and The Nuance Group is scheduled
to develop additional duty-free shops and specialty store concepts
in key categories such as electronics, wine, quality and prestige
brands, along with Australian accented gifts.
The Nuance Group Asia Pacific ceo John Moore, commented: "The
appointment of the Nuance Group for the next ten years is a
significant vote of confidence from the airport and reflects our
commitment to the long term partnership. I would like to thank our
team in Perth for their loyalty and hard work in making us the
partner of choice for Perth airport."
Westralia Airports Corporation ceo Graham Muir said: "We are very excited about the new deal that will increase Nuance's retail space as part of plans to redevelop the international terminal. The expansion plans will enable Nuance to extend their existing product range and bring new concept stores."
