The retailer confirms negotiations are taking place, but insists no deal has been completed

The Nuance Group issued a press release denying reports that its New Zealand operation Regency Duty Free has been sold to DFS Group. The statement said: “While Nuance has been in discussions with DFS about its New Zealand operations, no deal has been completed. These discussions with DFS are ongoing and are the natural consequence of the outcome of the recent Auckland airport duty free tender.”

Nuance added that the outcome of any discussions regarding Regency Duty Free is subject to approval by the boards of Nuance and DFS, the agreement of all affected airport authorities and landlords and the approval of any requisite authorities.
