The travel retailer has diversified from its traditional duty-free business by securing a retail agreement with Center Parcs at four UK villages
The Nuance Group has secured an agreement with Center Parcs to operate shops at four UK villages from 2008. The agreement is for five years and the offer will focus on fashion and accessories.
Nuance will operate 2,100sq m (2,2604sq ft) of space from January 2008 and employ more than 70 staff across the resorts. The offer will be based on four shop concepts ─ Aquatique for swimwear and associated products, Sportique for sports clothing and equipment, Casual Classics for up-market leisure brands and fragrances and Watch & See, which will carry a range of sunglasses and outdoor and fashion brands.
Nuance Group Europe CEO Jean-Paul Bonnel said: The Nuance Group has an intimate knowledge of the needs and aspirations of travellers. It is only logical that, taking a step beyond our traditional area of business, we should strive to serve that same target customer group we encounter at our airport outlets every day.
Center Parcs CEO Martin Dalby added: We pride ourselves on the overall quality of everything we deliver and have selected a retail partner that appreciates our customers focus, brand integrity and service ethics. The new retail outlets are part of an overall investment programme that will offer guests a wider choice and enable Center Parcs to maintain its position as the UKs leading short-break holiday operator.
