Chocolate exhibition aims to promote Switzerland and Zürich airport as destinations by showcasing Swiss brands
The Nuance Group, Zürich International airport, Lindt & Sprüngli and Confiserie Sprüngli have jointly organised a chocolate exhibition at Zürich airport.
Soul of Chocolate is the first in a series of annual exhibitions designed by the airport's marketing committee to promote Switzerland, the airport and Swiss products. The exhibition, which opened on September 15 in the airport's transfer area, features information stands illustrating the history and processing of chocolate as well as demonstrations and sampling stands. It runs until the end of October.
The Nuance Group Switzerland managing director Stephan Salvisberg said: "Together with our airport partners, we continually discuss how we can promote Zürich airport as a unique destination. Chocolate is one of the world's best-loved products and Switzerland is famous for its chocolate creations. We decided to turn Zürich airport into a showcase for chocolate, thereby creating the sort of fun and excitement passengers look for in airport shopping today. We believe it isn't enough just to sell chocolate; you need to sell the experience around it."
Zürich airport authority Unique chief commercial officer Peter Eriksson added: "We are proud and happy that the trinity approach has once again proved ideal, demonstrating that retailing is not a one-man show but team work. Soul of Chocolate is the first of several Swiss and international brand promotions planned."
