Nuance appoints new head of Zurich operation
The Nuance Group has appointed Stephan Salvisberg as the new general manager for its retail operations at Zurich airport. Salvisberg will take up his new position on March 1 2001.
Stephan Salvisberg joins Nuance from the Swiss retail market. He
brings with him extensive knowledge of the area as well as several
years of international retail experience, mainly within the
category of fashion and accessories, specialist and branded
stores.
Salvisberg will be in charge of the 17 outlets Nuance operates at Zurich airport: the two main duty-free stores and their satellite stores at the gates; specialist stores for fashion, gift merchandise and Swiss destination products in terminal A and for electronic goods in terminal B. Nuance holds concessions for all categories at Zurich airport, recently extended until the end of 2004.
Managing director of Nuance Group Europe South region, Peter Eriksson, commented, "We are convinced that Stephan Salvisberg's experience will help us to further develop and strengthen our position at Zurich airport, creating the sort of exciting retail environment Nuance wants to be known for: exceeding our customers' expectations and underlining our reputation as the innovator in travel retailing."
