The Nuance Group has appointed Jim Fader as merchandise and buying director for Australia and New Zealand. Fader assumed his position in early January and reports to Nuance CEO Australia and New Zealand Christian Strang.

Fader previously worked at Woolworths Supermarkets for four years, where his responsibilities included managing strategic relationships with suppliers, growing market share with category accountabilities in grocery food and fresh food areas and in managing significant buying teams within private label.

Strang said: “Jim has an extensive retailing background with excellent grounding in buying and merchandising obtained in the UK, New Zealand and in Australia. I am glad to welcome him to our managing team and look forward to working with everyone involved to meet the demands of this dynamic market.”
