Nuance and Global Brands form travel-retail partnership

The retailer has signed an agreement to operate a number of branded concepts in travel-retail

Swiss retailer The Nuance Group has signed a new agreement with Global Brands Group (GBG) to operate branded travel-retail concepts worldwide following the success of the partnership’s FIFA Official Store at Singapore Changi airport. GBG’s other retail concepts include golf equipment and lifestyle store PGA Tour and Disney Naturally.

Nuance president and CEO Roberto Graziani said: “We are very excited about the potential of these stores. Our experience in the airport market is that working with big brands usually breeds success and they don’t come much bigger than the GBG portfolio. Any airport with more than 4m passengers should seek access to these unique and strongly-branded concepts to differentiate their offer and to make it more exciting for travelling consumers.”

GBG chairman Jonathan Sieff added: “We are delighted to have a retailer of the quality of Nuance as our global travel-retail partner. We are working well with them in Singapore and are happy to broaden our agreement. These new retail concepts are unique, stylish, and innovative, and have been received positively by consumers throughout the world.”
