The operator is the highest bidder for a food and beverage concept at Changi terminal two

Nuance-Watson looks set to win its first food and beverage concession at Singapore Changi airport. The duty-free retailer, which operates the airport's award-winning perfume and concessions concession is the highest bidder for the tender which closed this week for a Western bistro in the departures transit hall of terminal two. The space measures 315sq m and the contract is for three years. A Civil Aviation Authority Singapore (CAAS) spokesman confirmed
Nuance-Watson was the highest of seven bidders who included Select Service Partners, Hong Kong's Wildfire and four local operators. ?Nuance is the highest bidder but we don't always award the contract to the highest bidder,? the spokesman said. Nuance-Watson confirmed this move would be its first foray into food and beverage, saying it had tendered a Café Italia concept, offering Italian food including pizza.

The result of the bid would be announced within a month, the CAAS spokesman added.
