Nuance-Watson (Singapore) hat-trick at DFNI Asia Awards

The retailer claimed prizes for Asia/Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year, Best New Shop Opening and Best Fragrances and Cosmetics Retailer at the awards on May 13

Nuance-Watson scored a trio of trophies at the DFNI Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific, held during the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition yesterday (May 13). The retailer’s new outlets at Singapore Changi terminal three were named as Best New Shop Opening, and suppliers also voted the company the Best Fragrances and Cosmetics Retailer and Asia/Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year.
 
Fellow Changi tenants DFS Group and King Power Group (Hong Kong) were also rewarded with trophies for Best Liquor Retailer and Best Food and Confectionery Retailer respectively, while Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore retained its title of Asia/Pacific Airport Authority with the Most Supportive Approach to Travel Retail.
 
King Power International Group (Thailand) was named Best Travel Retailer Operating in a Single Country and Dubai Duty Free was again voted Middle East Travel Retailer of the Year. Korean Air beat competition from Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific to claim the Asia/Pacific Inflight Retailer of the Year award, with Cathay Pacific receiving the prize for Best Website Serving the Asia/Pacific Travelling Consumer.
 
Nuance-Watson (HK) won awards for Best Gifts Retailer and Best Fashion and Jewellery Retailer, while fellow Hong Kong International airport retailer Sky Connection was named Best Tobacco Retailer.
 
Retailers in the region voted for Parfums Christian Dior as Asia/Pacific Supplier of the Year, with L’Oréal Luxury Products Division’s Diesel Fuel For Life fragrance winning the Best New Product Launch award.
