Norwegian duty-free sales up on last year

Sales are anticipate to reach Eu35.3m ($44.13m)for the year, according to Global Refund Norge

Norwegian duty-free sales have hit Eu10.7m ($13.4m) for the first half of the year. Figures tracked by Global Refund Norge have shown that sales for June alone reached Eu4.7m, an increase of 21% of the same month last year.

US passengers ranked first for purchasing volumes, followed by passengers from Asian countries.

66% of sales were attributable to gifts and souvenirs. The company predicted total sales for this year would reach Eu35.3m ($44.13m).
