Reports suggest the country's government will shortly unveil plans to allow duty-free stores in arrivals
Norwegian press reports have revealed that the country's government is to propose allowing travellers to buy duty-free on arriving in Norway. Prime minister Bondevik's cabinet will shortly announce the proposal to the Norwegian parliament, according to an article in the Dagens Næringsliv. The article, which may be viewed by visiting the Nordic Travel Retail Group's website nordictravelretail.org, said that Norway had consulted its fellow Scandinavian governments for their view, with only Sweden voicing concerns.
