The Nuance Group-operated departures lounge shop has been refurbished and expanded
Glasgow Prestwick airport has celebrated two years of work on new retail units and infrastructure improvements by unveiling a plaque to mark Elvis Presleys last visit on March 3 1960. Airports operator Infratil, the owner of Glasgow Prestwick, has introduced a number of new retail concepts including an outlet for Scottish merchandise called Peckhams and it has also refurbished and extended the departures duty-free store, which is operated by The Nuance Group.
The renovated shop now offers a wide range of skincare and fragrances including Chanel, Clinique, Lancôme, Calvin Klein and Clarins. The liquor selection was also expanded and features a large variety of malt and premium whiskies, wines and champagne. A technology area with products such as MP3 players, portable games consoles and digital cameras has also been introduced.
Glasgow Prestwick airport chief executive Mark Rodwell said: After the terminal building was refurbished and rebranded in 2005, our next task was to improve the retail units here at Glasgow Prestwick. Infratil wants to offer our customers the best choice possible by introducing recognisable, good quality local and international brands in order to cater for different tastes.
