The opening of pier F at Toronto Lester B Pearson airport terminal one boosted revenues by 7.4% in the nine months to September 30

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) has reported its financial results for the nine months ending September 30. Total revenues for the period were up by 11.8% to C$896.7m ($966.9m) compared with the same period in 2006, boosted by a 7.4% rise to C$94.9m ($102.3m) in revenues from concessions and rentals. GTAA said the growth was due to the opening in January of pier F in terminal one at Toronto Lester B Pearson airport, which has “design features and concession offerings specifically intended to increase concession revenues, especially when compared withi the outdated T2 which it replaced”.

GTAA’s statement also cited plans to further expand T1 with the construction of pier G, but the final design and building schedules are still under review.
