The inflight technology provider has been bought by Belgravium Technologies

Novo IVC, the inflight technology and chip and pin system provider, is under new ownership after Belgravium Technologies purchased the company's entire share capital from Finnish firm WM-data. The deal follows Belgravium's acquisition of Novo Ivc's hardware supplier TouchStar Technologies in 2005.

Belgravium will continue to work with WM-data for sales and delivery of mobile POS and back office systems to Novo IVC's customers, while helping to develop business opportunities in new market areas.

Novo IVC spokesperson Bernard Swindells said that the deal was a natural step for Belgravium after the acquisition of TouchStar and would bring handheld software and hardware development under one owner.

The company stressed that the deal would have no immediate impact on customers or personnel. Belgravium chairman John Kembery said: "We are pleased to welcome Novo IVC to the group. This acquisition further increases the scope of our data capture systems, and we look forward to a long association with WM-data. Following on from the successful acquisition of TouchStar, the completion of the purchase of Novo IVC will support our expansion and growth into new vertical markets and industries."
