New appointments strengthen Raven Fox management

Raven Fox, publisher of travelretailworld.com, Duty-Free News International and Travel Retailer International has announced senior changes to its management team.

Andrew (Sandy) Whetton is named Raven Fox managing director, beginning on February 25. He will manage advertising, subscriptions and marketing as well as the daily running of the business.

Whetton has a proven track record over 24 years in publishing management. He was most recently managing director of OAG Worldwide, a division of Reed Elsevier, with a turnover of $140m and staff of 630 in six offices. Before that, he was publishing director of IPC Magazines Specialist Group, which includes titles such as The Field, Horse and Hound, Golf Monthly, Yachting World and many others.

To complement Sandy's role, Dermot Davitt is named a director of Raven Fox and will oversee all editorial matters, including the magazines, website and editorial production. He retains his role as editor-in-chief of DFNI and will continue to play a leading role in the day-to-day running of the company's market leading title.
