Auckland airport is offering advice to international passengers in advance of new liquid regulations to be introduced on March 31

The New Zealand aviation authorities are working to ensure that the introduction of new liquid rules on March 31 cause minimum disruption. Auckland International airport has produced a brochure for travel agents, which will also be available at the airport. The brochure outlines how the rules will apply to duty-free and other shopping at the international terminal.

Auckland airport CEO Don Huse said: “Travellers flying direct to their final destination can purchase duty-free and other liquid products as usual once they have passed through security screening. Travellers stopping over or transiting through another international airport en route to their final destination might be affected.”

Auckland airport is advising travellers to check with duty-free retailers before buying liquid products owing to variations in duty-free requirements.

As reported previously on RavenFox.com (click here to read) the government has already set up www.flysmart.govt.nz with specific details about the regulations and urges all visitors to go to the website before travelling.
