New Jameson whiskey enters duty-free

The Jameson Signature Reserve is now available in travel-retail in the UK and Ireland, and will soon be introduced in the rest of Europe

Pernod Ricard subsidiary Irish Distillers has introduced the new Jameson Signature Reserve whiskey in duty-free stores in the UK and Ireland, with a roll-out across Europe expected soon. The new product has been promoted at London Heathrow airport alongside the Jameson Reserve collection, with tastings taking place since last month in terminals one, two, three and four.

Irish Distillers regional manager travel-retail Michael Cunningham said: “Jameson Signature Reserve celebrates the heritage of the John Jameson & Son signature, its high pot still content and a significant taste contribution from Oloroso sherry casks.”

The company is rolling out a range of products in travel-retail throughout 2008, including Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve, Jameson 12yo Special Reserve, Jameson Gold Reserve, Jameson 18yo Limited Reserve and Jameson Signature Reserve.
