After yesterday?s attempt to tender the master concession at Montevideo Carrasco airport attracted no bids, the Uruguayan government has announced that it will make another attempt on August 27, and would reconsider the tender conditions that many considered unrealistic given the economic situation.

The government said it would reconsider the tender conditions, including the initial $15m payment that many considered unrealistic given the regional economic situation and the world aviation market. A source close to the auction told TRW that $10m would be a more realistic figure.
