Absolut Orient Apple has made its travel-retail debut at Frankfurt airport on May 2
Liquor supplier Pernod Ricard Travel Retail has launched the new Absolut flavoured variant, Absolut Orient Apple, in the duty-free and travel-retail channel at Frankfurt airport with Gebr Heinemann on May 2. The product will be rolled out to other duty-free locations worldwide through the summer.
Absolut Orient Apple combines fresh apples with ginger, and the bottle features a carved golden apple surrounded by an aura of transparent ginger leaves. The launch will be supported by a 360-degree marketing campaign at duty-free and travel-retail outlets around the globe, including site-specific installations, tastings and events.
The Absolut Company global travel-retail director Anders Olsson said: “It’s a flavour that really has a great range of mixing opportunities, for professional bartenders and for amateur cocktail enthusiasts. It’s a fantastic cocktail base to mix with a variety of juices and sodas.
“We’re utterly thrilled by this new launch,” he added. “We’re certain that it will attract and excite travellers and become a classic new generation drink and cocktail base. Its global character, with the cross of east and west, is an intriguing additional quality in our market. I personally love the summer magic of this flavour.”
