Nestlé speeds ahead with Americas promotions
Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) has agreed an exclusive promotion with InterBaires for its two stores at Buenos Aires Ezeiza airport. It centres around a Harley Davidson motorbike (pictured) which one lucky customer can win by purchasing Nestlé products to the value of $20, to receive a raffle ticket. Purchases up to the value of $35 entitle the customer to two tickets and three tickets are received for a $50 purchase. The promotion runs from March 1 until the end of May when the draw for the raffle will take place. The promotion is supported by advertising in the Interbaires duty-free catalogue and display showcards in-store.
"This is a fantastic promotion which will create awareness for
all Nestlé
brands," said NITR marketing manager Christine Sampaio. "We are
expecting it
to have a significant impact on sales during the promotional
period."

In a separate promotion, Nestlé has introduced a back-to-school Smarties Back Pack offer throughout January in Brazil, and February in Argentina. Passengers buying a Smarties Figurines Multipack receive a free backpack.
"The emphasis is on attractive, value for money promotions
offering immediate
and obvious benefit to the customer," said Sampaio. "This is just
the
beginning of what promises to be a very busy promotional schedule
during 2001."
