Legislation passed today by the Japanese parliament paves the way for the privatisation of Tokyo Narita International airport by setting up a new government-controlled airport management company, to be turned public in 2007.
Legislation passed today by the Japanese parliament paves the way for the privatisation of Tokyo Narita International airport by setting up a new government-controlled airport management company, to be turned public in 2007. The bill also allows airport management to become involved in running commercial facilities at the airport, a move airport authority NAA has long been pushing for. An airport spokesman confirmed the news to TRW and expressed satisfaction that the process was on schedule.Bookmark This Article
