Motta Internacional has opened its beauty store at Jamaica's main international gateway

Motta Internacional has opened a duty-free store at Sangster International airport in Jamaica. The outlet, which offers mostly fragrances and cosmetics, adds to Motta's growing business in the Caribbean, where it will also open a liquor and tobacco store in the new terminal at St Maarten's Princess Juliana International airport when it is completed this summer.

"The outlook for Caribbean duty-free is very strong," said Motta Internacional chairman Alberto "Pancho" Motta Jr. "Traffic in Jamaica should grow and tourism is very strong there."

Sangster is undergoing a significant expansion, during which traffic will be moved from the existing facility to a new terminal. On December 7, airport manager MBJ Airports opened a new concourse, which contains two liquor and tobacco outlets run by Duty Free Air and Ship Supply with its partner Franklin & Wilson Concession Management.
