Morrison Bowmore extends UK duty-free portfolio

Morrison Bowmore Distillers has extended its UK duty-free and travel-retail distribution portfolio with the addition of three new brands

From January 6 2003, the supplier will take on the distribution of Campari, Skyy Vodka and Cinzano, building on its relationship with Campari International.

Last May, Morrison Bowmore and Campari formed a joint venture company, Fior Brands, to distribute the suppliers' liquor brands in the UK domestic market. Fior will operate the travel-retail distribution of the new brands, reporting to Morrison Bowmore.

Morrison Bowmore director duty-free and Asia James Bewsher said: "The addition of the Campari, Skyy Vodka and Cinzano brands adds new and exciting dimensions to our plans for the travel-retail and duty-free business. It's a very encouraging way to start 2003."

Campari Group regional director Enzo Casati commented: "Morrison Bowmore has been awarded these brands on the strategic development of their business in this sector. The Campari brands will also benefit from the existing warehousing and logistics arrangement with Fior Brands. We are confident of improving our profile and achieving new growth for our brands within the travel sector."
