Montevideo annuls tender result

(1-Jul-2002) - URUGUAY. As the Uruguayan government prepares to launch an open tender to manage and operate Montevideo Carrasco airport, the duty-free tender won last December by local operator Neutral has been declared void.

(3-May-2003) - URUGUAY. Roberto Yavarone, sub Secretary of State at Uruguay?s Ministry of Defence, has confirmed that the tender to manage and operate Montevideo?s Carrasco International airport has been postponed for a second time.

(8-Aug-2003) - The Uruguayan government has issued a decree making several changes to the master tender to manage and operate Montevideo Carrasco International airport, now set for August 27 after a previous attempt failed to raise interest.

(12-Jul-2002) - URUGUAY. The Uruguayan government has announced an open tender for the management contract at Montevideo Carrasco airport. Although conditions have yet to be finalised, the contract is understood to cover ground services and commercial activities. Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 has already expressed interest in the auction, according to local reports.
