Montblanc beats stiff competition from DFS and Swarovski in terminal one

Montblanc and JetBest Enterprise have each been awarded a key branded concession at Singapore Changi airport, in terminals one and two respectively.

Montblanc beat competition from three others bidders, including DFS Venture Singapore and Swarovski, for the branded shop concept in T1 departures. As reported by RavenFox.com on January 17, Montblanc's financial bid put it in a strong position to secure the contract. It bid a minimum of S$31,888 ($19,443) or 20% of sales if monthly sales are over S$220,000 ($134,146) but under S$380,000 ($231,707), or 25% of sales if the figure exceeds S$380,000.

JetBest Enterprise won the contract to operate a mid-priced brand-name fashion store in the check-in hall of T2, beating five other bidders to the concession. JetBest will operate the store under the Carlo Rino brand name. Other bidders for the contract included King Power, offering an Elle fashion concept, and Hang Ten sunglasses. JetBest bid S$9,680 ($5,902) per month for the three-year contract.
