Momentum gathers for Global Summit
Airbus, Emirates Airlines and Fraport are among companies sending speakers to The Global Travel Retail Summit: Inside The Consumer Mind, to be held in Amsterdam's Hotel Okura on April 19-20 2004
Interest is growing fast in the second Global Travel Retail Summit, to be held in Amsterdam's Hotel Okura on April 19-20. Enquiries about the event are flooding into the offices of organiser Raven Fox, which is hosting the event alongside consumer research specialists RFH Consumer Insight and Business Traveller magazine.
The Summit aims to help inform airport authorities, airlines, retailers and suppliers on how to increase retail sales through a better understanding of the travelling consumer. Already some high-profile speakers have confirmed their participation in the event, which is entitled 'Inside the Consumer Mind'.
For the first time, Airbus will participate in a travel-retail industry event, with vice-president marketing Colin Stuart speaking in a session on the future of air transport and the consumer. Emirates Airlines senior vice-president commercial operations Europe and North America Nigel Page will also address this issue. Fraport head of business development retail Dr. Norbert Minhorst is among a number of speakers from forward-thinking airport authorities who will share their experiences of consumer research and how this can contribute to increasing footfall and spend.
Full details of the programme will be released in the coming weeks.
