Middle East retailers defiant in face of war

Travel retailers in the Gulf continue to operate stores around the clock as they seek to defy the worst effects of the war in Iraq, that has seen sales crash by 25% in some cases, and much more in others

Dubai Duty Free has recorded an average daily fall in sales of 25% in recent weeks compared to the same period last year, following a strong start to the year.
