Mercedes gives retailers Christmas presence at Frankfurt

Fraport Group has unveiled its Christmas shopping promotion programme, with national icon Mercedes-Benz providing some classic support

Fraport Group has revealed details of its 2006 Christmas shopping promotion at Frankfurt International airport, which will feature vintage Mercedes-Benz cars located near stores throughout the airport. The promotion, themed Celebrating Christmas Classics, will also offer passengers the chance to win a 1957 Mercedes 220 S convertible through a coupon competition in flyers positioned in stores and around Frankfurt’s two terminals.

Four classic cars will be displayed at the airport; a 1954 Mercedes 170 SB limousine, a 1956 Mercedes 190 SL roadster, a 1957 Mercedes 220 S convertible and a 1938 BMW 327 sports car. The cars will be located in terminal one’s check-in hall and near Gebr Heinemann’s Travel Value and duty-free outlets in transit halls A and B East, and in T2’s check-in hall.

Fraport said that it’s Christmas shopping flyer would also offer special promotions from other stores around the airport, including diamond necklaces from René Kern and Christ jewellery boutiques and digital photograph frames at Fotec and Photair shops.

The promotion will run until December 31.
