Mauritius Duty Free Paradise seeks new store locations as it forecasts strong profit growth in 2005

Mauritius Duty Free Paradise (MDFP) has contacted airport authorities in the Seychelles and Madagascar with a view to expanding its operations beyond its home base. The company revealed the plans as it reported a profit forecast of Rs280m ($9.68m) for 2005.

The company is also planning renovations to its departures stores. Airports of Mauritius owns an 80% share in MDFP, with State Investment Corp holding the remaining 20%. The company operates five shops at Maurice and Rodrigues airports and plans to open a new store at Port Mathurin.
