The new shops at Hamburg and Munich airports will take the brand’s total travel-retail outlets to 11
Fashion brand Marc O’Polo has announced it will open two new travel-retail stores at Hamburg and Munich airports in Germany in 2008. The two outlets will take the brand’s total number of outlets in the channel to 11, including the recently announced store at Cairo International airport terminal three with EgyptAir Duty Free Shops.
The new 40sq m (430sq ft) shop-in-shop at Munich airport terminal two will be part of a multi-brand fashion concept within the non-Schengen area and is scheduled to open in September. The shop—the third for the brand at Munich—will offer Marc O’Polo’s womenswear collection and its leathergoods range.
In November, Marc O’Polo will open a mono-brand store at Hamburg airport’s new terminal with retail operator The Nuance Group. The 158sq m (1,700sq ft) outlet will include the brand’s womenswear and menswear collections in addition to the complete leathergoods line for men and women.
Marc O’Polo travel-retail manager Toni Hager said: “In January this year we opened our first shop in the Asia/Pacific market in Singapore together with Nuance-Watson (Singapore). With the new store in Hamburg we are continuing our successful partnership with The Nuance Group worldwide. We trust their travel-retail competence and they believe in our brand values and products.”
