Malta International airport (MIA) has begun negotiations to increase its retail area by about 20%

The airport is also getting ready to unveil further plans for the Mediterranean Business Park, which will be positioned off-terminal but will be linked to the airport for passenger shopping. MIA operator Air Supplies and Catering has also submitted plans to increase shop space after revamping its arrivals outlet earlier in the summer.
