The airport has launched a campaign to promote the sale of products that help to maintain passengers’ well-being

Malta International airport (MIA) is promoting a variety of products as part of the Healthy Flying campaign, run in partnership with Airport Value Marketing Association and Aviation Health (AH). Products include moisturisers to combat skin dryness, flight socks to reduce leg swelling and ear plugs to reduce noise and induce sleep, in addition to oxygen supplement drops to revive the brain, dark chocolate and red wine. They have been chosen under the guidance of AH founder and director Farrol Kahn, an expert in aviation health and medicine.

To support the campaign publicity material will be distributed inside the departures area by promoters and sales assistants who, according to the airport, have attended product knowledge courses “to provide a better service to passengers”.

MIA head of non-aviation services Mario Psaila-Savona said: “The Healthy Flying concept is an added benefit and we have supported it throughout as it enhances our commitment to provide higher standards of customer service, making our airport a quality experience for our passengers.”
