Bids invited for multi-purpose outlet in the non-Schengen departures lounge

Malta International airport has issued a tender for the management of a multi-purpose outlet in the terminal’s non-Schengen departures lounge. The concession is for a retail area of about 150sq m (1,615sq ft) including food and beverage, skincare, delicatessen, books and souvenir products.

Malta International airport business development manager Mario Psaila-Savona told RavenFox.com: “We will have a different procedure this year, shortlisting two to three options and giving everyone the information that has been received. The shortlisted companies will then have a final chance to review their bids before we make our final selection.”

Psaila-Savona added that six consortia of local companies had already expressed their interest in taking part in the open bidding. Tender documents can be collected from the airport’s head office and international bidders can request the information by email. The deadline for the receipt of proposals is October 19.
