Malaysia is set to introduce new measures for LAGs, according to APTRA

The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) has revealed that Malaysia will introduce Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAG) procedures from May 21 on all international flights from Malaysia.

Passengers must pack LAG items in a sealed tamper-evident bag with the receipt attached. LAGs purchased at duty-free shops or inflight are exempt from the procedure. Bags will be provided at the point of sale and the receipt attached must be for the day of travel or transit. APTRA is still seeking clarification about the LAG security processes for transit passengers.

The procedure will be introduced to airports at Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Redang, Timan and Malacca.
