The Middle East association expects over 400 delegates to attend its annual conference in December

The Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) has unveiled details of its events schedule for December following a board meeting at TFWA Asia Pacific last month. The association's annual conference, to be held in Dubai on December 4-5, will be themed "Understanding A Complex Market" and is expected to attract over 400 delegates, organisers said.

The conference, organised by Tax Free World Association in conjunction with Moodie International, will be preceeded by the thirteenth Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup. The tournament will be staged at the desert course, Arabian Ranches and the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on December 2-3. The Middle East Exclusive duty-free and luxury goods exhibition will follow the MEDFA conference, on December 6-8.

The MEDFA board also discussed the forthcoming launch of a MEDFA website and a $25,000 donation to Tsunami Relief.
