MEDFA announces Dubai conference dates

The Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) announced today that its Middle East Duty Free Conference has been scheduled to take place in Dubai from December 16 to 17 2002. In a statement MEDFA said "this conference will be coordinated and administered directly by MEDFA."

The Association said event registration and other issues will be handled by its recently recruited administrative officer, Micheline Enkiri, who is based at the new MEDFA offices opened last week in the Dubai Airport Free Zone. "Our objective is to raise the standard of the conference and improve the social element. Also, we intend to reduce the registration fee from previous years, as we feel it was too high, and an announcement on this and other details will be made during March," said MEDFA president, John Sutcliffe.

The Association is inviting parties interested in cooperating with MEDFA regarding the technical organisation of the conference, to submit their proposals to the Dubai office by February 27 2002. The conference will be preceded by the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup, which will take place between December 14 and 15.
