The company has gained new space in Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai

Leathergoods supplier MCM is to open a 23sq m (247sq ft) shop-in-shop at Beijing Capital International airport terminal three with Sunrise Duty Free. The company, which had already announced a 110sq m (1,184sq ft) single-brand store in the domestic area of T3 with retailer Hao Jie, will also be present at Shanghai Pudong International airport T2 with a 15sq m (161sq ft) branded corner in Sunrise’s shop. All outlets are scheduled to open in February.

MCM has also gained listings with Ever Rich Duty Free Shop Corp at Taiwan Taoyuan International airport and downtown from February, and will open a branded 23sq m shop at Kuala Lumpur International airport contact pier with Malaysia Airports retail subsidiary Eraman in June. In addition, MCM confirmed a new listing from May with Dubai Duty Free, where a personalised space will open at Dubai International airport concourse two.

MCM global travel-retail director Gerry Munday said: “This is a fantastic start to 2008, and even more exciting are the dozen or more other new listings for which we are awaiting final confirmation, further consolidating and expanding MCM’s position in Europe, the Middle East and Asia/Pacific. It shows continued belief in the brand by airports and retailers and supports MCM’s rapid growth and development on domestic markets worldwide.”
