M Frey breaks through in Japan

25-Oct-2002

M Frey Wille told TRW it has experienced a successful launch for its latest Contemporary Art collection at the TFWA World Exhibition

The line features four new jewellery designs called Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Manhatten and Madison created as a tribute to New York. Also new in Cannes is the men's accessories collection featuring cuff links and tie clips. "In the future we will launch men's watches and the Mogul Art collection which is currently on trial in the domestic market. As always we learn from our experiences in European stores and introduce the best of the best to our travel-retail partners," said corporate communications manager Barbara Windisch.

M Frey Wille also reported a successful impact in the Middle East, where the company opened a store in Dubai's City Centre mall in January. Other new openings in the domestic market this year include Budapest, Brussels and addtional outlets in Vienna and Munich. On December 1 this year M Frey will open its first Japanese store with a local partner in Tokyo's Ginza district. "We will work the same way as in Dubai where we have a flagship domestic store. Hopefully duty-free in Asia will benefit," said Windisch. Other franchise stores the company has planned include Cairo and Moscow.
