France’s second biggest regional airport is seeking tenants for three speciality shops
Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport is to launch a tender for three speciality shops totalling 1,463sq ft (136sq m). The shops, which will be operated under a contract lasting six and a half years, will run from the first half of this year.
Two shops, measuring 452sq ft (42sq m) and 678sq ft (63sq m), are situated in the terminal two airside departures area dealing with predominantly intra-EU traffic. The shops will be allowed to sell a range of categories except liquor, tobacco, fragrances, cosmetics, books and newspapers, watches and jewellery.
In the terminal one airside departures area, dealing exclusively with non-EU flights, the airport is offering a 333sq ft (31sq m) outlet to sell any category of product except liquor, tobacco, cosmetics or fragrances.
The call for tenders will be available online from January 10 at www.lyon.aeroport.fr, and documents will be available from January 11 from: Aéroports de Lyon, Commerces et Immobilier, BP 113, 69 125 Lyon-Saint Exupéry Aéroport, France.
The deadline for bids is March 10.
Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport serves 7.3m passengers.
French travel retailer Aelia holds the core duty-free contract at Lyon and opened its new 250sq m (2,690sq ft) multi-category outlet there in July 2007.
