Luxottica appoints new group travel-retail director

The Italian eyewear group appoints experienced luxury goods and fragrances executive Francis Gros

Francis GrosEyewear supplier Luxottica Group has announced the appointment of Francis Gros as group travel-retail director.

 

Gros has over 20 years of experience in the luxury goods and fragrances industries, including overseeing the Japanese market for make-up brand Bourjois, developing the fashion accessories business for Mantero Seto before coming the company’s chief marketing officer, and then joining niche fragrances and scented candles business Diptyque as managing director.

 

Gros will oversee the overall global travel-retail organisation and the processes which will support the business, with a team which is currently being located to new premises in Dublin.

 

He said: “Luxottica has established a very successful operation within the dynamic travel retail market and I am proud to be a part of a strong team that will expand the company’s current position.”
