Luc Lauwers' "fun ride" with Belgian Sky Shops ends

Purchasing manager tobacco, confectionery, liquor and fine foods Luc Lauwers has left Belgian Sky Shops after nearly eight years. Lauwers said that he wishes to "re-orientate" his career.

He described his time at the Belgian retailer as "a great fun ride" and said that the separation had been "amicable".

Lauwers joined the company in June 1998 from United Distillers, where he had worked since 1990. His first job in duty-free was with local liquor supplier Fourcroy.

Commercial manager Marc Leemans said that until a replacement is found he would take over most of Lauwer's responsibilities.
