Louis Vuitton expands in Vietnam

6-Nov-2002

Louis Vuitton is planning to open its second shop in Vietnam in 2003 according to LVMH general director in Thailand and Vietnam Guillaume Thery

The new shop will be located in Ho Chi Minh City with the first being located in the Sofitel Metropole Hotel in the administrative capital Hanoi. "The number of foreign visitors to Vietnam, especially those from Japan, is increasing rapidly," said Thery.

The presence of such a big player as Louis Vuitton is expected to attract more fashion retailers to Vietnam and provide a boost to the local tourism industry.
