The Aeroboutique-Servair joint venture wins an extension to its contract on board France's national airline
Logair, the joint venture between concessionaire Aeroboutique Inflight Retail (AIR) and French inflight caterer Servair, has secured an extension to its retail contract on board Air France. The company, whose contract was scheduled to expire in 2007, will now run inflight sales for the carrier until April 2010.
AIR managing director and Logair CEO Pierre Freyssinet said: "We certainly worked hard to make it happen, but the news was still our best ever New Year present. I believe Air France's decision is proof of sound management and long-term vision. The airline wants to improve its passengers' experience through inflight retail and improve its bottom line. In financial terms, our recent investments have already paid off and there are more to come. Regarding passenger satisfaction, I believe concessionaires can only achieve significant and sustainable results working closely with airline teams. And it takes time to do that efficiently."
