The new 191sq m (2,055sq ft) multi-category store is the second retail outlet dedicated to non-Schengen passengers

Malta International airport (MIA) has awarded the concession for a new store in the non-Schengen departures lounge to Travel Stores Co, a consortium of four local companies who individually operate similar businesses at the airport: Wands Limited, Salvo Grima Group, Miller Distributors and RJC Caterers. The 191sq m (2,055sq ft) multi-category shop will offer food and beverages, skincare, delicatessen items and books and souvenir products. It will be the second retail offer in the new area dedicated to non-Schengen flights after The Nuance Group’s 425sq m (4,573sq ft) duty-free store.

The new shop is due to open on May 1. The airport expects the renovated non-Schengen area at MIA to be fully operational on March 28 and said an additional two outlets will open later this year.
