Lima Airport Partners is to spend $60m on a revamp that will include an additional 2,000sq m of commercial space

Lima Airport Partners, the airport authority at Lima Jorge Chavez International airport, has revealed further details of plans to expand its passenger terminal by the end of the year. The renovation will include an extra 2,000sq m (21,520sq ft) of commercial space and will include an expansion of concessionaire Aldeasa’s retail areas.

The space will be added to international and domestic airside areas, and the authority reported that the arrivals duty-free area would also be expanded. New retail concessionaires will also be added.

In August last year the authority told DFNI that it was evaluating the airport’s retail offer to fill any gaps in product categories, and said that it was likely to look for new concepts in fashion, fashion accessories, toys and electronics.

Traffic at the airport rose by 24.3% last year, to 7.51m passengers.
