A legal action launched by Keflavik International airport's principal concessionaire Icemart could lead to a more competitive and open tender process if it wins support amongst Iceland's lawmakers. The appeal, the latest in a series of competition issues that have hindered retail tenders at the airport, aims to bridge the gap between competition rules and the laws upon which Keflavik landlord Leifur Eiriksson Air Terminal was founded.
