Estée Lauder has reshuffled its senior management team and appointed Olivier Bottrie as its new senior vice president, general manager, travel retailing worldwide from January 1, 2004. Bottrie will replace Fabrice Weber, who will leave to become president of the Aramis and Designer Fragrances division in January. Weber will report to Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, group president of the Estée Lauder companies.
Bottrie is currently the regional vice president, field sales northeast for Estée Lauder. He joined the company in January 1996 from Yves Saint Laurent Parfums and has held a number of sales and marketing positions, including vice-president and general manager for Estée Lauder Travel Retailing for the Americas and vice president and general manager of Aramis and Designer Fragrances International. He will report to Cedric Prouvé, group president international.
The news comes as the company revealed its colour direction for 2004 in the shape of the Electric Intense LipCreme. A trio of the best selling colours in the lip range will debut in travel-retail in March 2004 across Europe and Asia with the Americas to follows in June 2004. The lipstick will retail for £11.90 ($20.46), with the trio pack at £30.35 ($52.20).
