Landmark Internet development as DFNI & TRI go on-line: Arden named pioneering sponsor
In travel-retail's biggest Internet publishing initiative yet, Duty-Free News International and Travel Retailer International are to go online from mid-year. The service, known as DFNI Confidential & TRI Confidential, will be exclusive to Raven Fox website travelretailworld.com
DFNI & TRI Confidential will be available only to paid subscribers to the print versions of both publications, which currently enjoy an overwhelming 58% share of the travel-retail business market.
Each magazine will go online as soon as it is published, meaning that readers from Argentina to Australia will get instant access to the market's leading titles.
Elizabeth Arden has been named exclusive fragrances and cosmetics sponsor of the DFNI Confidential service. International marketing director Benedicte Foucart said: "Elizabeth Arden is impatiently awaiting the launch of DFNI Confidential online. It is the perfect answer to our constant need for information, anywhere, anytime. A real recipe for success!"
Commented Raven Fox managing director and publisher Martin Moodie:
"This is the ultimate statement of our commitment to the Internet
and to our website travelretailworld.com. We'll underline the
newsworthiness of DFNI and the immediacy of the industry's
fastest-growing title, TRI."
Extensive research by Raven Fox parent company Euromoney Institutional Investor shows that readership of business magazines is increased by on-line access which allows readers to preview key stories and then read them in-depth later.
Moodie added: "This is a major boost to travelretailworld.com site and will drive up the already high usage dramatically."
