LVMH announces senior executive appointments and new "synergies" role

LVMH Group yesterday announced two appointments within its senior executive management team.Concetta Lanciaux, currently LVMH Group executive vice president of human resources is named adviser to the chairman and Group executive vice president of synergies, and group delegate for Italy. Lanciaux originally joined Bernard Arnault in 1985 to assist him in the restructuring and turnaround of Group Boussac Saint Freres. She will remain a member of the LVMH executive committee.

Catherine Kopp has been named Group executive vice president human resources, succeeding Lanciaux. Kopp, who is currently chairman IBM France will oversee LVMH's human resources function. Both appointments will be effective from 1 September.

Group chairman Bernard Arnault said: "We have long considered how best to harness the creative and professional interactions between the Group companies. I am very pleased that Concetta will be assuming these important new responsibilities which will draw on her considerable talents in these new and expanding areas of the organisation."
