L'Oreal kicks off industry charity drive

L'Oréal Luxury Products Division has proved its generosity again with a €15,000 pledge to the Raven Fox Charity Ball 2006

Leading beauty house L'Oréal Luxury Products Division has become the first company to pledge its support for the Raven Fox Charity Ball 2006, donating €15,000 ($18,113).

The proceeds of the ball, to be held at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London on March 10, will go to the Hogar Camino de Esperanza project in Colombia. The project provides shelter for young girls who have been victims of abuse, and Raven Fox hopes to raise much of the $100,000 needed to finance a new home for the girls, as the existing location is no longer safe.

In order to raise the funds needed, the Raven Fox Ball will feature its traditional auction, which in the past has included some very unique lots. Raven Fox urges the travel-retail industry to give as generously as it has done in previous years—more auction prizes and cash donations are needed if we are to reach the $100,000 target.

The ball will also feature the ceremony for the 2006 Raven Fox Global Travel Retail Awards. Shortlisted companies include World Duty Free, Cathay Pacific Airways, Starboard Cruise Services, Starbucks Coffee and Airport Authority of Hong Kong. To view the full list click here.
